Upper Kevin Street

Dublin City Council

We were commissioned to produce a series of planting schemes for the south side of the city. The first of which includes a pocket park located at the liberties crossroad junction of Kevin St.

Drawing from the Victorian practice of creating colourful carpet beds, we’re using a pattern of clipped hedges to create an identity for the park and provide a backdrop for the intermingled flowering perennials to be read. The plan uses harmonious/contrasting perennial plant combinations that promote biodiversity with year long visual interest.
